UBA Tanzania increases employees’ salary by 25 percent
Dar es Salaam. Towards the initiative to continue building engagement and improve employee value preposition and welfare, UBA Tanzania’s management has announced a salary increment of up to 25 percent to its employees.
The bank says the increment which takes effect from September serves as a way of acknowledging competencies, efforts and performances.
“All bank staff will receive up to25 per cent increase in their salaries and benefits with immediate effect from September 2021, while a good number has been moved to higher grade levels,” the bank announced in a statement.
It further adds that since last year despite the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, UBA has been exercising its promise of being the best place to work to its employees by providing conducive environment.
The bank says as result it has transformed its grading system and processes to become one of the most competitive within the industry.
This, the bank said, meant that its workers would find it easier to attain top leadership management positions at UBA as their careers progress much faster.
“UBA recruits highly talented staff who perform at the best standards and deserve to be remunerated accordingly,” said UBA MD/CEO Mr. Kingsley Ulinfun.
He added: The management team has taken steps to ensure that the bank remains at the top tier and it relates to that talent pool. UBA also maintains the best training programmes for employees to progress along with their careers.
This salary increase initiative follows a 12 employees’ promotions which took effect in August 2021. This grade promotion accounted to over 10 per cent of its total employees promoted for good discipline and rewards for best efforts in their contribution towards the institution
